The Lion Roars: Confronting the Spirit of Christian Complacency
Complacent Christianity is not the calling of our Lord and Master. A King—the King of kings—was bold, without kneeling to the evil of the age. He spoke, He talked, He confronted, and He showed mercy and compassion, all with authority and grace. He did not shrink back when He was confronted by evil, nor did he shrink back when He was confronted by the faith of those in need.
The Messiah, the Son of David, and King of Israel is not bipolar, nor does He have a split personality disorder. The Lamb of God and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah are One and the same. His Word and His promises are true and eternal, unwavering and unchanging.
“Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath. Thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country and from the west country, and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.” (Zech 8:2,7-8)

“For behold, in those days... I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel... The LORD will roar from Zion... but the LORD will be a shelter for His people.” (Joel 3:1-2, 16)
Do We Follow the God of Israel?
How can people who call themselves Christians mock the God of Israel and try to overthrow the people He has clearly called back to their inheritance as promised throughout scripture? Have they never read Psalm 2 or Psalm 83? Have they never internalized Isaiah 63 or Joel 3 and the Judgment of the Nations? Do you not know, have you never read, that there are many who will say they call on the Name of the Lord, and yet, and I quote Yeshua (Jesus), “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’” (Mat 7:23)
Many say they believe and call on the name of Yeshua (Jesus), but they treat His name like a magical name to be used like an incantation for their own blessing. They don’t know Him as the Messiah, the Son of David and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah who will return and trample underfoot the nations that stand opposed to Him and His Kingdom.
His word speaks about those who stand in opposition to His covenant to the Jewish people “They lay crafty plans against your people; … They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!” (Psalm 83:3-4)
Others have aligned themselves with the spirit of Amalek, whom the Lord Hates – let it be known that judgement is fast approaching as the Lord Has spoken in His word. “I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven… [They have placed] A hand upon the throne of the LORD! The LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” (Exodus 17:14-16) And again, "you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget." (Deu 25:19)
God is warning the people and the nations of the world to be careful where they place their hands - lest they take hold of His throne and find themselves His adversary.

Our God is NOT complacent; but has called us to be men of Valor and War, when Joshua approached the Angel of the Lord and asked, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?” and the Angel replied, “No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?” (Joshua 5:13-14)
“Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.” (Exodus 23:21)
Today the Lord is calling those from the nations who hear His voice to fall on our faces and bind ourselves to the God of Israel and His Messiah with our whole heart. Preparing ourselves for battle, rising to the occasion and join ourselves shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish people, proclaiming the “Gospel of the Kingdom”.
“And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)
