About our Logo: A Visual Depiction of Prophecy

Logo Wide.jpg

We have had questions about the meaning of our Ten From The Nations logo. It all starts with the verse that inspires our ministry:

Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”
Zechariah 8:23 (ESV)

We are walking out this prophecy right now by connecting with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel, and encouraging our Christian brothers and sisters to do the same. We all profess faith in the God of Israel, and we all want to see fulfillment of His promises of redemption for Israel and the nations. We believe that will happen as Jews and Christians learn how to get along with one another in relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

That’s the process our logo illustrates. In the center is an X, which is the Roman numeral 10. The X is superimposed on a depiction of tzitzit, the tassels on the garments worn by observant Jews in obedience to the commandment of Numbers 15:37-40. When people from the nations take hold of the robe of a Jew (also translated garment, hem, skirt, or sleeve), this is what is meant. That’s the inspiration for our symbolic representation of this process.
